Level IV SiC Ceramic + HPPE Ballistic Plate
Composition: Strike face in Silicon Carbide (SiC) ceramic combined with a backing layer of High-Performance Polyethylene (HPPE), providing advanced hybrid ballistic protection.
Dimensions: Standard 250 × 300 mm (10” × 12”), available in SAPI or shooter’s cut upon request.
Thickness: Approximately 22–25 mm, depending on configuration.
Weight: Around 2.5 kg per plate, offering a lighter solution compared to steel or full-ceramic alternatives.
Certification: Tested in accordance with NIJ Standard-0101.06 and certified at Level IV protection.
Ballistic Protection: Defeats high-caliber armor-piercing ammunition including .30-06 Springfield M2 AP (reference round for NIJ IV) at velocities of ~878 m/s. Also tested against 7.62×54R B32 API and 7.62×51 mm NATO AP threats.
Multi-Hit Capability: Resistant to 1–3 armor-piercing impacts depending on spacing, angle, and projectile type, maintaining structural integrity under repeated stress.
Performance Characteristics: The SiC ceramic strike face breaks and erodes the penetrator, while the HPPE backing absorbs and disperses the residual energy, preventing penetration and reducing blunt force trauma to the wearer.
Durability: Fully waterproof and corrosion-resistant, unaffected by humidity, and stable across a wide temperature range from extreme cold to high heat.
Ergonomics: Slightly curved design (single or multi-curve options) ensures improved wearer comfort, mobility, and reduced fatigue during extended missions.
Service Life: Long operational lifespan with consistent ballistic performance when stored and used under proper conditions.
Applications: Specifically developed for military units, special forces, and law enforcement teams operating in high-threat environments where protection against armor-piercing ammunition is essential. Suitable for use in tactical vests, plate carriers, and specialized ballistic systems.
